The Keel-billed toucan is a colorful bird belonging to the toucan family. It is located in Mexico to northern South American countries like Venezuela and Colombia. The Keel-billed toucan has an omnivorous diet consisting mostly of fruits but also including seeds and insects. Adaptations of the modern toucan are a long beak, and a four clawed foot for climbing trees. I think in the future the Tropical rainforests of Venezuela and Colombia will change drastically due to rising global temperatures, the rainforests will lose moisture and become prone to wildfires and drought. In time the once lush rainforests will turn into dry savannas. The Keel-billed toucan will adapt larger wings for extended flights in search of food and water in the bare landscape. Another adaptation the Keel-billed toucan will have is less vibrant feathers to blend into their new environment and to avoid predators.
