The Scarlet Macaw lives in the humid Evergreen rainforest, located in the Amazon basin, in the northern half of South America. The Macaw eats nuts, leaves, berries, and leaves. They also have really colorful feathers that help them camouflage in their environment. They fly in large flocks to confuse predators. When most of the trees die and the water dries out the macaw will adapt to their new environment. First their beak will not be curved and will have like a duck like beak and instead of having two thousand pounds of square inch, it will only have eight hundred. The feathers will not be colorful anymore. They will turn into a brown like shade so they can camouflage to their environment. They will eat in the savannah are leaves, flowers, and pods from the Acacia tree, and they still eat seeds. These adaptations will help the Scarlet Macaw live.
