Ocelots have big eyes, spotted golden fur with a cream-colored belly. Ocelots eat small rodents, birds, snakes, lizards, baby peccaries, young deer, and rabbits. Ocelots live in the Amazon rainforests where there are lots of trees for Ocelots to climb and hide. They sleep under the leafy canopies. Because of global warming, glaciers melt causing sea levels to rise. The rising sea water is flooding into the Amazon River. The future ocelots have to adapt to the flooded forest to survive. The future ocelots will live in murky swamps. They grow grills for breathing, fins for steering, and scales that are dull brown with a light brown belly. to blend in the new habitat. They may have to find fish, crab, and seaweeds for food. If we don't slow down global warming, the Ocelots may extinct because it takes generations for animals to adapt to the habitat change.
