The Harpy eagle lives in the Amazon of South America. The deadly talons of the harpy can exert several hundred pounds of pressure. The claws can crush the bones of it's prey and instantly kill it. The wings help it fly so fast so it can grab its prey immediately. It's long tail helps the eagle steer when it's flying. The eagle is not a prey but a predator.
Climate change will force the harpy to adapt to a dry environment. The Amazon will become a Savannah. The harpy will reduced to a eagle size. The powerful legs and the feet that are equipped with large talons used for killing their prey. The sharp pointed beaks are designed for ripping their prey into bite-size pieces. Some of the food supply will suffer because the animals it eats won't survive. The harpy will use these adaptations to survive.
