Sloths are in danger because of climate change. The rainforest will get smaller, hotter, and drier because the trees are being cut down and the weather is changing. Sloths need trees to live and eat. Also, sloths don't handle heat well. If it gets too hot they can get hot, thirsty, and sick. Due to climate change and pollution, trees won't get the nutrition it needs to live and the fur of the sloth will get darker. Bad weather like storms, long dry seasons and fires can destroy sloth homes and since sloths move very slowly, they cannot escape quickly. When sloths lose their trees, they have to move to places where predators can help them more easily. If we don't stop climate change, sloths might not have a safe place to live. We need to protect the rainforest sloths and other animals to survive.
