The Future of The Ocelot

The ocelot is my favorite rainforest animal. It has excellent high vision and strong legs for climbing and hunting. It has unique coat pattern with dark spots and stripes on a tawny background. The ocelot hunts its food and eats all kinds of small animals. If human continue to cut down rainforest trees, the global warming will get worse. The rainforest will die down, there will be less rain, and the land will be too dry that only grass can grow. To be able to live in the future grassland habitat, the ocelot will have to evolve to adapt. The ocelot’s fur will become uniformly yellow to blend in with the grass. It will use its legs for walking instead of climbing. Sometimes the grassland become too dry and will catch fire easily so the ocelot will have to run for life. They may even have to migrate for safety.
