For centuries, the jaguar population has enjoyed the luscious, green rainforests of the Amazon. But, with climate change increasing global warming each day, it is likely that the rainforest will become a savanna. To adapt to this environment, the jaguar will have to evolve several traits. Some of these include a longer tail to be faster and more balanced, and it will have larger claws so that it can get up high trees. It also will evolve to have larger and more adapted eyes that are able to hunt in the nighttime, in order to escape the daytime heat. Finally, the jaguar will get stronger limbs to climb tall trees, and its spots will disappear so that it can camouflage the tall beige grasses. Overall, the jaguar will have to make many physical adaptations to fit the new environment of the savanna.
