The sloth lives in the Canopy level of the rainforest in South America and Costa Rica. Sloths move so slowly that algae grows on its back. The algae provides camouflage for the sloths. Sloths hang upside down when they eat, sleep, and give birth.The sloth is a nocturnal animal.Sloths are great swimmers. In the future, the rain forest will turn into a savanna`.The sloth will be walking on all fours like a bear. Sloths will become carnivores because of the environment. Sloth hair will change into dead grass on its back to camouflage.
