The Kinkajou is a mammal that lives in Central and South America (Mexico to SouthernBrazil). They are nocturnal and they live in trees. Their lifespan is up to 29 years while the average is 20. They weigh around 4-10lbs and are 16-30in long. They eat fruits, nectar, and occasionally insects. The rainforests Kinkajou’s live in are turning into grasslands because the climate is changing and trees are being cut down. To adapt the kinkajou will use its prehensile tail and its hands to grab the grass and stick it onto its fur. This can help the kinkajou blend in with the grass and hide from predators. Their diet will also change and they’ll begin to eat more insects. They’ll sleep in tall grass or trees if any are near.
