Toucan is my favorite rainforest animal. Its large colorful bill makes it easier to find each other in the forest and to get berries and seeds for eating. Toucans live in the rainforest canopies. They do not build nests. Instead, they live in holes in the tree trunks.
If people keep cutting down trees to worsen global warming, the rainforest will dry out and may slowly turn into grassland. The toucan will have to evolve to adapt. First, the toucan will lose color and become darker to blend in the grassland. They will stay in burrows or caves for the nights. The only food that they can find may be just the bugs.
If global warming happens too fast, toucans may not evolve quickly enough and may extinct. Humans should start to protect the rainforest so the people in the future can still see this beautiful creature alive.
