The toucan lives in Central and South America. These birds are omnivores and can live up to 20 years. They eat eggs, plants, small animals, and even boa constrictors. These birds weigh less than a pound and can grow up to 2 feet tall. Their calls sound like croaking noises. Toucans have colorful bills and they’re feathers are mostly black but some are colorful too. They build their nests in tree holes and hollows. The rainforest may become a dry savannah in the future and that will cause many animals to adapt, including toucans. The toucan will have dark green, dry grass yellow, and they will be much less colorful. Some of their food sources won’t be available any more so toucans will have to eat things like snakes and dry grass. Since the future rainforest may not get much rain, toucans have to adapt to drinking water much less.
