Sloths live in the canopy layer of tropical forest. They spend most of their lives hanging upside down from branches. Sloths eat, sleep, mate, and even give birth while hanging in trees! Sloths have fairly small, thin bodies with short tails. Their heads are small and round, with short snouts, small ears, and large eyes surrounded by dark masks. Did you know that the shape of their mouths gives them a permanent smiling expression?
In the future, sloth will have to rely on its skin to have water. There will not be many trees and the sloth will have to adapt to clawing on the floor. The sloth will camouflage itself in the dry sand. They will have to become carnivores and eat bugs that are dried up. They can’t eat leaves because there are no leaves. After all, sloths will have to change because of climate change.
