Okapis currently have dark coat colors to blend in with the forest floor. The colors of their coats are dark brown, black, and white, with stripes on their legs in black and white like zebras. They also have horn-like ossicones on top of their heads similar to giraffes. These creatures can run up to 37 miles per hour with their strong legs and have short necks to swerve around trees as they do so. They are herbivorous. Future okapis, or Diu, live in the hot savanna instead of the cool forest floor. To blend in with their new surroundings, their coat colors are light brown, tan, caramel, and white. Their legs are caramel and white striped. They have sharp horns to protect from predators. Diu are smaller than their Okapi counterparts and have longer necks. Their tongues are long like an anteater to eat bugs like ants and termites.
