My favorite animal is cockatoos that live in the canopy of the rainforest. The cockatoo's yellow feathers on the head show how it's feeling. Its beak and claws help it to catch bugs and tree frogs for eating.
If the global warming gets worse, the rainforest will disappear. The future cockatoos will have to change in many ways to adapt the new grassy environment. The feathers on the head may slowly fade away and cockatoo’s body may become brown to blend in the grass for protection. The future cockatoos may grow sharper claws to catch bugs because the bug will be harder to find and catch.
The cockatoo may not adapt fast enough as the rainforest disappear. We should protect cockatoo's natural habitat by stopping tree cuttings, and to plant new trees. This will help to preserve the cockatoos and many other creatures that live in the rainforests.
