My animal is the electric eel. Currently, they reside in murky ponds of the rainforest. They’re diet is crustaceans and small fish. They’re colors are grey to blend in with the murky water. They’re most established adaptation is the ability to produce electricity, the two organs are called the Sachs organ and Hunter’s organ. This helps them stun predators. Also, they’re bodies are very pliable making it easier to slip away from predators.
In the future, they will live in the savanna. They’re color won’t change because they still live in murky ponds during the monsoon season. However, they’re life cycle will be shortened, they will lay eggs before the dry season and the eggs will hatch once monsoon season begins. They will also grow smaller as the ponds in the savanna are smaller. They’re new diet will consist of insects like worms and other bugs found in the soil.
