Arctictis Binturong live in the canopy of tropical forests and rainforests eating fruits and small animals. They have prehensile tails that they use in the treetops. Because of deforestation a bearcat may have to adapt to living on the ground in a grassy plain or savannah. They could have their fur become a shade of green and use their prehensile tails for digging. They could learn to hide in tall grasses or bushes or even the holes they dig to hunt small animals at night because most of the fruit was lost with the trees. They may also learn to spike their fur upward to make themselves fit in with tall grasses. Therefore I would name them Bushcats (Arctictis Bushturong).
