In five hundred years, climate change will make lush, tropical rainforests hotter and dryer and make them turn into dry savannah or grassland. The iguana will have to change to survive in this harsh, new world. The iguana’s scales and eggs will be camouflaged and will look like grass. It will become an omnivore in a place where food is scarce. It will spit venom at predators that will harm it. Its third eye on top of its head will become sharper and be able to spot more birds. Its senses will improve and hearing will become more accustomed to the sounds of the grassland.
