African Elephants are the biggest animals walking on earth. Elephants are also very strong. They have thick grey skin and no fur. Elephants use their tusks to protect themselves and their babies. They also use their trunks to pick up their food. They eat tree bark and fruit. Elephants are very smart.
An elephant's present environment meets its needs. In the future, the temperature will heat up. The rivers will change too. Their levels will raise and flood the area. The environment will lose its trees because there will be too much water. Since the change of the environment, elephants will have to grow some fins and learn to swim. Elephants will no longer eat tree bark because of the loss of trees. Their environment will then have fish in it. They will now need to eat fish. Elephants will have a very changed life.
