My favorite rainforest animal is the red eyed tree frog. It is known for its red eyes and bright green and colorful body. You can find them in the rainforest of Central America and northern South America. They love to live on trees in humid environment near water like rivers and ponds. They eat insects such as crickets, flies, and moths using their long sticky tongues to catch prey. If the global warming gets worse, rising temperatures and droughts reduce suitable habitats, harm their physiology and force eggs to hatch prematurely to escape dying condition. The land will become dry and the grass will replace the tress. After generations of adaptation, the future red eyed tree frog might lose its bright colors and become dark green to blend in to the grassy habitat. But if their adaptation cannot catch up with the speed of habitat change, they may disappear forever.
