I love scarlet macaws. It has bright red plumage covering most of its body, wings and tail. Brilliant blue and yellow feathers also adorn the lower wings. It has strong beak is adapted to breaking nuts in the forest.
The scarlet macaw can be found in the Amazon Rainforests. They prefer to spend their time in tall, deciduous trees in large noisy groups. They usually thrive in the canopy and emergent layers of the forest trees.
Global warming can lead to forest degradation that causes food shortages. These result in an increased number of threatened species. The scarlet macaw could start to adapt by gathering all the food it can and save them in their nest. When grasslands take over the rainforests, the size of future macaws will shrink. It may also migrate to highlands because it cannot find protection in the grassland.
