The Toco Toucan has existed for 20,000 years in the upper canopy of the Amazon rainforest, where tall trees provide fruits, berries, and insects for food and allow toucans to nest in tree hollows, protecting them from predators. However, due to deforestation and climate change, their habitat is losing trees and becoming hotter, and in 100 years, this environment may no longer be suitable. Thus, the Toco Toucan will likely adapt by migrating to new areas where they can find food and shelter. Additionally, to survive, Toco Toucans may shift their diet to include ants and other insects, which are more abundant on the forest floor. Their beaks, tongue, and feet may evolve to be more suitable for foraging on the ground, becoming longer and stronger. Additionally, their beak color will change to blend into new surroundings or reflect changes in their diet, ensuring their survival and safety.
