Hummingbirds are the smallest migrating birds. A Hummingbird is a small bird with a long, slender bill. Also hummingbirds are new world birds found only in the Americas, mainly South America. There are more than 340 species of hummingbirds. Hummingbirds suck nectar from flowers. The name, hummingbird, comes from the humming noise their wings make as they beat so fast. Many hummingbirds have brightly colored, glittery feathers. In the future these hummingbirds may not have as many glittery or colored feathers.
