Howler monkeys are a type of monkey that can live in the Amazon. They live in trees and eat leaves, flowers, and fruits. However, due to tree loss in the Amazon, this way of life might not be possible for howler monkeys in the future. In this example, they might develop longer legs with larger feet, making them better suited for the ground. Recently, howler monkeys have also been dying in mass due to heat and droughts, so they might also adapt to have shorter, thinner fur to overheat less. Also, their fur may become lighter in color to absorb less heat from the sunlight. They could also become smaller in size, making them need less water to function, causing them to become more effective in situations with low amounts of water such as drought.
