In its current habitat of a rainforest, frilled lizards have special adaptations like a frill neck to scare off predators, light green or orange color to camouflage, claws for climbing trees, and rough skin for physical protection.
Due to rising temperatures, savannas will increase causing the frilled lizard to adapt to its surroundings by using the frill neck to glide from one tree to the next to avoid getting eaten by predators, using a brown-ish orange color for camouflage, developing huge eyelashes to shield sand, and body hair for temperature regulation.
Part of the rainforest can also flood and turn into a wetland. In this case, the frilled lizard will use its signature frill neck as fins to maneuver in the water, develop ridges on its back to propel in the water, flat tail for speed, webbed feet for swimming, streamlined bodies, and body hair for buoyancy and temperature regulation.
