The jungle will change drastically over the next 1,000 years with deforestation as the biggest cause. Because of this, sloths have no place to go as we keep on slowly cutting down their habitat. The sloths will go extinct if we keep on cutting down the forest because there will be no other place a sloth can go to other than a zoo. Surviving sloths will probably have a much smaller metabolism because of a shortage of food. They may also die more quickly because there will be fewer trees to hide in. The sloths may have less algae on them because they would be getting more sunlight because of the loss of trees and it will be hotter and drier.
