In the tropical rainforest, sloths live high up in the trees, eating leaves. But as the rainforest changes and trees disappear due to deforestation and climate change, sloths will have to adapt. With fewer trees, their homes will look bare and will have less shelter. To survive, sloths might change their claws to be shorter and stronger, helping them climb fewer trees and instead helping them move on the ground more. They could also start eating different plants that grow in open areas. If the rainforest keeps changing, sloths will need to be adaptive, finding new ways to live and stay safe in the habitat.
