Deforestation is a big thing in today's world. I think the toucans' home, the rainforest, will be damaged by deforestation. I think in the future there will be less trees, in turn, making less fruits. Because of fruit scarcity, I think the bird will develop a shorter beak and longer wings. A shorter beak will help support a carnivorous diet. The longer wings will help support the bird being able to fly long distances to hunt. Climate change is also a concurring problem in the world today. I think the bird will develop brighter colors to help with reflecting heat. This will keep the bird from overheating. I think the bird will also develop a larger brain and eyes, these help with seeing prey and predators from a distance. The bigger brain will help the bird outsmart incoming predators before they get a change to hurt or kill the bird.
