The Okapi

The Okapi is a rainforest mammal who is very interesting and here are some facts about it. The Okapi lives in the Aturi Rainforest inThe Democratic Republic Of The Congo. Its adaptations are zebra-striped legs, long tongues, they have night vision, male ones have horns called ossicones, and their teeth are shaped to eat plants. The Future Okapi, on the other hand, I think will live in a savanna. Its adaptations will be that they will have a hump for hotter temperatures, green hooves to blend in with the grass, brown legs to blend into the trees, a long neck, and it will be good at hearing. It will have adapted its diet to eat grass, leaves, and insects and the inside of its mouth will be tougher for the grass and leaves. In conclusion, I think the okapi is a very interesting animal now and in the future.
