The poison dart frog lives on the floor of the rainforest. It’s diurnal. They’re caring parents for the mother lays unfertilized eggs for the tadpoles to eat. Both parents will carry each baby on their backs to safety. Their bright patterns warn predators that they’re poisonous. If the tropical rainforest dries up, resembling the desert, these changes will have to be made when the poison frog evolves. The poison dart frog’s diet will have to change, so it won’t get poison from the food that it eats and takes the poison from anymore. Rather than choosing violence, I think that it’ll sprint on its back legs which will grow sturdy instead of spindlier bones to evade predators. And outrun them by having bigger lungs to increase stamina. It will camouflage by being a sandy brown. It’ll lose stickiness in its toes and grow pads to protect it from scorching sand.
