The African Mountain Gorilla, Gorilla beringei beringei, has to change as its habitat, the Tropical Rainforest, changes into hot mountains with no trees. First, in their habitat, it's cold, refreshing, and sometimes, the temperature drops below freezing in the high altitude mountains. They have adaptations so they could survive in the habitat that they live in now like thick fur so they can be warm.
In the next 500,000 years, temperatures will go up by a lot, causing a lot of fire which could lead to no trees in the mountains. Rainforests could become hot and Mountain gorillas will need to know how to adapt. They will need to have thinner fur to not get too hot, they need large ears for shade, a leathery mouth to bite cacti for water, and light colored fur for the sun. Mountain gorilla’s habitats will change and hopefully they will survive.
