The electric eel lives in the Amazon Rainforest waters, stretching up to eight feet long and 44 pounds and has a powerful electric shock for survival. But everything changed when a massive future flood swept Amazon waters across the ocean and into the African savannah.
Stranded on dry land, the eels began to evolve. Their long bodies grew three sets of legs, allowing them to move across the grasslands, without slithering and sliding. Their dark gray skin evolved to tan coloring, helping them blend into the savannah and reflect the harsh sunlight. Because there is no water, their gills disappeared, new lungs formed, letting them breathe the open air. Though changing into a land animal they kept their electric shock.
The electric eels went through a lot after the flood but they evolved into a wonderful and unusual land animal. Now imagine them walking across savannah lands.
