Macaws today are bright colorful birds with the ability to communicate. They eat a variety of nuts, plants, and small snails or worms. Due to changes in the environment, such as rising waters and global warming, macaws will change over time. One thousand years in the future, macaws will have adapted in many ways to survive in a savanna habitat. Their bright feathers will change into more neutral colors to help them camouflage and avoid predators. Their beaks will become tougher so they can eat harder foods that grow in dry areas. Macaws will also develop longer wings, allowing them to fly farther distances in search of food and water. In addition, they will be able to communicate in more complex ways to warn each other of danger. With their strong beaks, long wings, and camouflage feathers, future macaws will be able to thrive and survive in their new environment.
