The pudu deer is the smallest deer in the world, around the size of a small dog. Its tiny size helps it to fit through bushes, and it has big eyes to see through the forest. It eats plants, fungi, bark, and fallen fruit. In the future, the pudu deer will live in a swamp due to climate change and rising water levels. It will adapt by having longer legs so that it can trench through the swamp, night vision so that it can see nocturnal predators coming, moveable ears so that it can detect noises from all directions, and better hearing. Its diet is nuts, mushrooms, and algae as well. Its predators are alligators, anacondas, pythons, crocodiles, eagles, great horned owls, bears, wolves, and snapping turtles. It camouflages by splatting mud on itself and blending in. With all these new predators, the adaptations will prevent them from getting eaten.
