Jaguars, or Panthera Onca, are the species I will be doing for this project. I believe the tropical rainforest will turn into grassland over time. Climate change will make Earth hotter and wetter. The rainforest will get too much sun, causing the water in the rainforest to evaporate. As a result of change in temperature, jaguars must adapt. Adaptations include changes to behavior, appearance, and internal systems. Firstly, I will discuss the current jaguar. Jaguars live in North, Central, and South America. There’re 173,000 jaguars in the wild; they’re threatened. About half of the jaguar population live in Brazil. Jaguars have rosettes that occasionally contain dots. Some jaguars are black. The future jaguar lives in grassland, so it will have fur that doesn't have rosettes or spots, and no jaguar will be black. Jaguars will have longer tails and eyelashes. They will have shorter claws and heights.
