Crocodiles live in the tropical rainforest. They swim in rivers and hide in muddy water. Their skin has tiny, highly sensitive sensory pits that help them feel vibrations and pressure changes in the water. This helps them know when prey is moving nearby. They can even measure salt levels. They are very good swimmers and use their strong tails to move quietly.
In the future, the rainforest gets very hot and there is no more rain. All the trees are dead and the rivers dry up. The crocodile cannot swim anymore. It grows much bigger and looks like a T-Rex. It has long, strong legs to run on land. It grows sharp spikes on its back for protection. Its sensory pits help it feel vibrations in the ground. Now it is a giant land predator that survives in a dry savanna.
