The Anaconda lives in the tropical Rainforest and swamps of South America. It is one of the biggest snakes in the world! They have eyes and nostrils on top of their head for underwater hunting. It swims very well and its strong muscular body helps it to squeeze animals like fish, birds, and deer for food. Thousands of years from now, the rainforest will change. Rising seas will turn the land into marshes and wetlands. The anaconda will need to change to survive. It will become smaller so it can move through thick plants. It will grow small fins and gills to help it swim and breathe underwater longer. Its skin changes colors to match grass and muddy water. It will eat new food like crabs and fish. It will grow sharp, special teeth to protect itself from predators.
