That's why their fur is black, they adapted to the shadows in the trees. And they lurk for prey because they can hide easily. And they usually hang in the branches lurking for prey Black Panther After/Future The black panther in this habitat is starving and weak. As prey migrates to a wetter region, the black panther experiences a change of weight. They are used to having prey right next to them but since deforestation it changed. The black panther's skin has turned lighter because his habitat has gotten dry so his appearance has changed his fur color.
