Amazon river dolphins are well currently well adapted, they have small eyes due to the murky water and have good echolocation skills. They have unfused neck vertebrae so they can turn their heads through small channels. They have long snouts so they can dig up their food from the mud and debris. In 1000 years they will have key differences. First they will have less fat and thinner skin so they can regulate body temperature better with possible increasing water temperatures, resulting in a more pink tone due to raising red blood cells. They will get smaller eyes due to water darkening, therefore echolocation skills will improve and their foreheads will become larger for sound protection from sound pollution. Finally they will become smaller in size, due to the future possibility of lower numbers prey for them to feed on. In conclusion, these dolphins will have some vital future adaptations.
