Tapir Future Evolutions

My Future Creature is the Tapir. I made the decision to choose this animal because in theory, the Tapir will change drastically in the near future due to climate change, and deforestation. The Tapir has already represented changes up to this point such as better evolving nose for more efficient hunting, and different colors due to different environments for camouflage. With climate change, colors in rainforests have changed drastically, forcing the Tapir to make evolutionary changes over the course of millions of years. Deforestation has caused many types of plants to go extinct, which are the Tapir’s main food source, which means they may have to even change to an amphibian. The Tapir’s colors have changed already over millions of years through evolution for camouflage. Overall, Tapir’s species has already represented evolutionary changes up to the present day, concluding they will have more beneficial evolutionary changes in the future.
