The howler monkey in the present day inhabits trees and howls loudly to mark territory. However as these habitats can be deforested well will look at a hypothetical scenario where the monkeys adapt to a new environment. Howler monkeys in an urban environment would use high vantage points such as window sills, rooftops, power lines, and balconies to mimic trees. They would also quiet or remove the howl entirely to not attract urban predators such as dogs and disgruntled people. Shorter, muscular, padded feet would be developed to protect from rough concrete, electricity from power lines and debris like glass and nails.
