While designing this animal I made many significant changes that will help this animal survive during global warming. As the forest gets hotter water and ponds will become scarce meaning the capybara will need to be adapted to be bigger and able to run faster on the ground instead of being in ponds. Also as the forest gets hotter they will require less fur to make sure they don't overheat while moving around. Because of the change in habitat their diet will change. Because of this they need bigger and sharper teeth and bigger ears to combat this. Finally because of the hotter temperatures and water scarcity it is important that the capybara has a increased water retention to they require less water. They will do this by shrinking the pore size that allows them to sweat.
