Toucan

The Toucan: Present to Future Right now in some of the many rainforests of the world there are toucans who live there. They can grow to 1 to 2 feet tall and they are able to eat a variety of foods since they are omnivores. They have wings and a light body that helps it fly. In the rainforest it is very warm and gets a good amount of rain each year. But 10000 years in the future things are different, the area got hot and most of the plants died. The toucan adapted since the environment changed so much, so now it eats insects and some plants. Its feathers have become a lighter color, and ruffled from digging small burrows. It got strong legs to run but that made it too heavy to fly. The toucan also got a long tongue to eat easier.
