For my animal, I chose a tree frog that has evolved over many years to look almost exactly like a tropical leaf. Its body shape became flatter and wider, with patterns that resemble leaf veins, which helps it blend into trees and plants so predators have a harder time spotting it. When it goes into camouflage mode, the frog even moves its body gently back and forth, just like a leaf blowing in the wind, which makes predators even more confused. Other than its leaf‑shaped body, the frog still has its usual features, like sticky toes and big eyes. It also adapts naturally to whatever climate it’s in. For example, during heavy rain, it hides among wet leaves and becomes almost invisible to birds flying above. This special evolution helps the frog survive in the wild by using leaf‑like camouflage and wind‑mimicking movement to stay safe.
