Tigers are powerful animals with vibrant orange fur and black stripes. They live in forests where they hide in tall grass and move safely so other animals cannot see them. Their tails help them stay balanced when they run. Tigers are predators, relying on their powerful jaws and claws to catch prey. Today, most tigers are found in Asia. In the future, because of habitat loss and changes to the environment, tigers might have to live in deserts instead of forests. Over 2,000 years later, their fur could become lighter, maybe sandy or tan, to help them blend in with the desert . Their tails might grow shorter because they would not need balance on flat land. Future tigers also have tougher paws to protect their feet from hot sand. They might become smaller, faster so they can chase prey. These changes would help tigers survive in a new habitat.
