The Black Caiman currently lives in the freshwater rivers, swamps, and marshes of the Amazon Rainforest. In these freshwater habitats it currently hunts animals on the banks of whatever body of water it is in. However the Black Caiman faces a few challenges. A few of these are habitat loss due to man-made factors like deforestation, pollution, and global warming. Due to global warming the water levels where it lives are dropping, which could potentially force Black Caiman to live elsewhere. So due to these reasons I predict that in the future the Black Caiman will have adapted to these challenges with new behavioral patterns and characteristics. One of these is for it to have increased awareness of humans, potentially leading it to be hunted less frequently. If it lives in the ocean in the future then it would need to develop organs to secrete salt, to survive.
