Green Anaconda Adaptation

My animal is the Green Anaconda. They are found in South America and Trinidad, living in swamps, marshes, lagoons, and slow moving streams. They are nocturnal and aquatic, meaning they can swim fast in water however are slower on land. They are apex predators, but much of their protection comes from hiding underwater, meaning droughts would endanger them. Their olive-green coloration allows them to blend into jungles and murky water environments. In the future, a shift to a more savanna-like environment could cause them to change to a sandier color.
