Emerald tree boa
The emerald tree boa lives in the Amazon basin and is 4 to 6 ft long. The green color on its body helps it camouflage in the trees. They have a really cool adaptation where they have heat sensors which can sense infrared radiation and detect prey. Their technique to capture prey is to ambush it. After it has a big meal it won’t need to eat again for weeks. An emerald tree boa has red and orange babies and turns green in 6 months or more. They are really cool.
In the future the emerald tree boa will have brown scales and have venom. When it eats a scorpion it steals the venom so it can’t get stinged. It will make holes to capture its prey. The prey will fall in the hole and it will have spikes to defend itself. It has new cool adaptations.
