In the present, the Crab-eating foxes weigh from 10 to 17 pounds. They live in central South America, Savannah and Woodlands. Crab- eating foxes don’t make their own dens, they take them from other animals. They communicate by barking, howling and whining. They live about 11 years and are nocturnal. Crab-eating foxes usually are pregnant from 52-59 days and have 2-6 cubs at time. They travel in pairs and hunt individually.
In the future, Crab-eating foxes will weigh about 25 to 30 pounds. They will live in the desert because of a major drought. They will eat humans and cacti, they will eat the stickers on the cacti because if they get cut they will have an extra layer of skin in their mouth that grows back quickly. They hunt during the day and sleep at night near sand hills. They will evolve by getting bigger and growing big teeth.
