The Uakari Monkey will have to adapt in order to survive in the fast-changing Amazon. As the temperature rises, the monkey will develop a lighter coat in order to stay cool. With less rain, the Uakari Monkey will spend much more time near the rivers in order to get water. For this new habitat, it will evolve flatter hands and feet to walk on land as well as longer legs to swim through the currents. Additionally, the Uakari will evolve a water pouch on each of its cheeks to store water during droughts. The Uakari Monkeys's usually bright pink head will be replaced by a lighter shade, an indicator of a disrupted and an unhealthy ecosystem. The Uakari Monkey must adapt before climate change leaves it behind in the race for survival.
