The peacock bass is a freshwater fish that lives in the tropical region of Florida. Because of rising waters from the melting of polar regions, the ocean water has been slowly rising, causing saltwater to leech into freshwater areas that the peacock bass survives. The peacock bass starts to migrate into saltwater, and its body changes into a torpedo shape and loses most of its color to survive in deeper and saltier water. Its gill structure would need to accommodate salty waters in order to survive. The bones would become denser to survive the deeper ocean waters, so they wouldn’t get crushed as easily. In the end, it will be brown fish and a fierce
predator.
